Tax and CRA deadlines
When is your personal return due?
Filing date and payment date — for most people they differ.
A starting point, not tax advice. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How this works
What the number means
For most people the return and any payment are both due 30 April of the following year.
If you or your spouse or common-law partner carried on a business, you have until 15 June to file — but anything you owe is still due 30 April. Interest runs from 1 May regardless.
The June date does not apply if the business expenditures were mainly the cost of a tax shelter investment.
Worked example. A self-employed person filing for 2026 has until 15 June 2027 to send the return, but must pay by 30 April 2027 or start paying interest.

Questions
When is my personal return due?
April 30 for most people. If you or your spouse are self-employed you have until June 15 to file, but anything you owe is still due April 30.
I am behind on past years. Can you still help?
Yes. Prior-year personal and corporate returns can be prepared and filed. Bring whatever records you have — a gap in the paperwork is normal and is part of the work.
